Vodnjan – Dignano is a town in southern Istria, ten kilometers north of Pula (Istrian County, western Croatia).
Thanks to a rich history whose traces can be found since ancient times, a very suitable climate, and exceptional natural beauty united in a unique combination of the green interior and the blue-blue coast of the Adriatic Sea, Vodnjan and its surroundings will delight you with its charm and cultural heritage, as well as a diverse range of activities.
In the past, Vodnjan-Dignano was an important urban center, and today this town is an interesting destination, especially for lovers of art and culture. Walking through the old part of the city, you will notice numerous buildings belonging to different historical periods: Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The museum is located in a palace built in 1300, which belonged to the Bettica family. The church of St. is particularly interesting. Blaža, whose bell tower is the highest in Istria (62 m). In the church there are preserved mummified bodies of saints and relics.
